How a move with VRL Packers and Movers works

The same four stages run on every job, whether it is a 1 BHK across town or an office to another state.

Process

The four stages

Share your details

Call, WhatsApp or the form. We note both addresses, floors, lift access and what is moving.

Requirement review

A review of the requirement, then a written estimate listing the cost factors that apply.

Verified assignment

A VRL crew or a verified partner-network crew is assigned and briefed for your dates.

Move day and delivery

Packing, loading, transport and unloading into the rooms you specify, against your inventory.

Move day

What the packing day looks like

Multi-layer wrapping for furniture, labelled cartons and loading in inventory order. The same routine is followed for a single room and for a full office floor.

Two packers holding a corrugated-wrapped bed panel

Flat panels are edge-wrapped before loading.

Stretch film wrapped around a table top before loading

Corrugated sheet, then stretch film.

Packer lifting a labelled carton onto a stack

Cartons are labelled one by one and stacked in inventory order.

On the day

What happens from arrival to delivery

  • The crew arrives with the packing material agreed in the estimate
  • Items are wrapped, boxed and loaded against the inventory list
  • The vehicle is loaded in inventory order so delivery stays in sequence
  • At the destination, goods are unloaded into the rooms you specify
  • You check the inventory at handover and note any issue before signing

High-value, fragile and hazardous items must be declared before packing. Cash, jewellery, documents and medicines should travel with you rather than in the consignment.

Documents and permissions to arrange

Building rules are handled by the resident, not the crew. Arrange these for both addresses while the date is being fixed.

Gate pass or NOC

Written permission from the society or building office for the moving vehicle, with the date and time window it covers.

Lift booking

Where the building requires it, book the service lift for furniture and note the charges, which are payable by the resident.

Parking space

A spot for the truck close to the entrance at both ends. A longer carry from the vehicle adds crew hours to the job.

Guard or floor warden

Inform the guard desk of the timing so the crew is admitted without delay on the morning of the move.

Office building notice

For office moves, the building manager is told the service lift slot, the dock timing and the phase schedule.

Your own papers

ID proof for the building register, the inventory list and the written estimate kept ready on both ends.

FAQ

Questions about the process

Do I need to be home on move day?

Someone should be present at both ends to open the rooms, check the inventory and sign off the delivery. If you cannot be there, nominate a person in writing before the move.

How long does a move take?

A local household move is usually packed and loaded the same day. Intercity delivery follows the transit window written in your estimate, which depends on the route and whether the vehicle is shared or dedicated.

What should I do before the crew arrives?

Set aside cash, jewellery, documents and medicines to carry yourself. Declare high-value, fragile and hazardous items before packing starts. Arrange building permissions, lift access and parking where required.

Who arranges the building permissions?

You arrange the gate pass or NOC at both buildings. Your coordinator gives you the timing and the vehicle details you need for the request, and the same details go into the move plan.
